Sega’s third console started life as a remodeled version of the Mark 3, which itself was The third revision of the original SG-1000. Only the IBM Personal Computer has lasted this long. in the global market, it was heavily overshadowed by the NES. This is despite Master System games being more graphically impressive and speedier. Nintendo’s exclusivity requirement hurt the consoles game library size. its lack of Mario was its actual death blow, and the consoles success occurred mostly after its lifecycle. The console simply failed to penetrate the marketshare of the NES in America and Japan.
