The introduction of games on separate cartridges was liked. Not a high seller or rememberable console. Drowned out in its day by Pong copycats. it showed some of the early possibilities for videogames in comparison to board games. The concept of videogaming in the home being so new, prevented possibility of mass adoption. Magnavox introduced people to what Atari would actually popularize and introduce to the mainstream. While its resolution is lower than the 2600, the console surpassed Atari's in a handful of technical areas. including with inclusion of a full keboard, for easy programming. The console however never quite caught on.
