The PS3 represented a major leap in technology, and was wildly popular. Its Cell Processor was seven microprocessors on one chip, allowing several operations at once. The Nvidia graphics card produced superior graphics in HD resolution. It was equipped with motion sensors, wireless controllers, and a 500 GB hard drive. It's network capabilities, including wireless internet, finally delivered online gameplay. The system had a stellar lineup of games and had the ability to read various flash ram cards. The CPU complexity however made developers abandon game creation.
