Although a decent console, it stilled ended up joining the flopped consoles of history. The fair selection of good kids games was not enough to make up for the underwhelming graphics. Nor was the grossly oversized controller that well received, despite its ability to show maps and other useful information. The console sold poorly, and was quickly replaced with an emergency push through development and early release of the Nintendo Switch, which was not ready for production. This damage control worked for Nintendo, but it left this console somewhat quickly as a result. The console is worth a visit for some of its memorable games. The console still maintained value for 4-player party games.
