This was where the Xbox lost its identity. Console and game sales fell significantly, including market share. The console simply improved upon what was already working. This was a good thing, especially when up against a more graphically powerful competitor. The controller is one of the greatest general purpose gaming controllers ever made. The graphics were just adequate enough to satisfy the traditional PC gamer market. It’s quality online gameplay network brought a new level to games, as the online collaborate environment was a new layer to experience in each game. Although viewed as unspecial, it is a great alternative to PC gaming. The console controller is well suited to racing simulation games.
